Meet Dominique

I’m a proud  FIRSTIE™ (the first in my family to graduate college).  Every single mentor in my life told me that going to college was going to be the secret to success. I believed them! I went to college on a wing and a prayer. I carried 18 credit hours each semester and consistently had three jobs to ensure I graduated in four years. In hindsight, what I know for sure is that there is nothing magical about getting a college degree. What's even more frustrating is that so many with college degrees are working jobs that don't even require a degree.  It's as if we were sold a lie! There are so many unwritten rules for success that are not taught in college. I am committed to teaching other FIRSTIES™ how I’ve been able to achieve my biggest, hairiest, most audacious goals even as I was haunted by the guilt of people saying “you think you’re better” or personally not feeling that I was good enough, smart enough or polished enough. Even as I struggled with imposter syndrome and felt torn between two worlds, I persisted. I will share how I did it and how you can too!
